Abstract

The article explains the relevance of research of valuable aspects of intercultural communication as a factor in the consolidation of modern society in the context of globalization.

The definition of "Intercultural Communication " is considered and its historical cross section is analyzed.

The role of intercultural component of linguistic identity in the sense of socio-cultural reality is analyzed.

It is determined that communication exists, provided there is any dialogue of cultures, realized actors - representatives of at least two different cultures - speakers of two different languages.

It is noted that communication in cross-cultural situations is performed due to the fact that each representative of linvocultural community acts in accordance with one’s own vision of the world or inherent linguistic and cultural world view.

It is determined that in order to achieve understanding, communicators except common knowledge of the language, which also requires similar image consciousness based on common knowledge of the world and determines the perception of the linguistic sign.
