Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. General information

  
  

  The journal accepts original, previously unpublished articles on general psychology, pedagogical and age psychology, psychology of intelligence, etc. Email address for articles is [email protected].

  
  

  The author (co-authors) can publish only one article in one issue.

  
  

  The number of co-authors is limited to 4 people. If more authors, each contribution must be justified unless the research is part of large-scale national or international projects.

  3. Terms of submission and publication of manuscripts

  
  

  Articles are accepted constantly.

  
  

  The article should have structure, references to primary sources, and follow journal requirements.

  
  

  Language of articles: English, Ukrainian.

  
  

  Types of articles: empirical, theoretical, clinical; reviews, meta-research studies. Priority is given to manuscripts highlighting empirical results.

  
  

  Volume: 20,000 (12 p.) to 40,000 (24 p.) characters; exceptional theoretical/review articles up to 60,000 (36 p.).

  
  

  Sources: at least 40 for reviews, 20 for empirical articles. Self-citation ≤10%. New sources indexed in Scopus/Web of Science recommended.

  
  

  Manuscripts must be anonymised for double-blind review. Plagiarism will lead to rejection. Self-plagiarism allowed ≤20% with proper referencing.

  
  

  Authors are fully responsible for content; editors not liable for any damages caused by publications. Articles may be removed if ethical violations are found.

  
  

  Articles must contain sufficient details and references to allow reproducibility. Fraudulent or inaccurate statements are unacceptable.

  4. Organizational structure of articles

  
  

  The journal uses IMRaD structure with the following elements:

  
  
  
  
  • UDC. Must match journal profile and research subject;
  
  
  • Abstract. Brief structured description with study purpose, methods, results, conclusions;
  
  
  • Keywords. 4–10 words characterizing the manuscript;
  
  
  • Introduction. Explains research need, problems addressed, relevance, literature analysis, and research purpose;
  
  
  • Methods and Techniques. Theoretical and empirical methods with their purpose;
  
  
  • Adherence to ethical standards. Indicate informed consent from participants. For children, consent from parents/legal representatives. State ethical principles followed and approval by Research Ethics Committee if applicable;
  
  
  • Results. Main research results;
  
  
  • Discussion. Analysis and evaluation of results in scientific context;
  
  
  • Conclusions. Summary and prospects for further research;
  
  
  • Funding. Sources of research funding (optional);
  
  
  • Acknowledgment. Gratitude for support (optional);
  
  
  • Conflict of interests. Report presence or absence;
  
  
  • Declaration on the use of artificial intelligence systems. If any were used, please indicate how exactly;
  
  
  • References. APA style, alphabetical, transliterated from Ukrainian with English translation. Use DOI where possible. CMU-2010 transliteration: ukrlit.org/transliteratsiia or grafiati.com.
  
  
  
  

  References to the sources published in the Scopus and/or Web of Science scientometric databases are required.

  
  

  According to the content of the article, it is possible to partially rename or combine certain sections; for example, instead of "Methods and Techniques" there can be "Materials and Methods" or "Methods and Results", or instead of "Methods and Techniques" and "Results" there can be "Methods and Results" or "Materials and Results", etc. For review articles, it is allowed to vary their structure between the "Introduction" and "Conclusions" sections depending on their content.

  
  

  5. Compliance of the study with ethical standards

  
  

  For publication, authors must submit together with the manuscript a completed Declaration of Conflict of Interest and Author Consent Form.

  
  

  The Declaration confirms the originality of the work, the absence of prior publication, the reliability of data, and the authors’ responsibility for the content of the article.

  
  

  Authors must include information about funding, potential conflicts of interest, and the existence of informed consent of participants. If the experiment involves children, parental consent is required.

  
  

  Submitting the same manuscript to several journals simultaneously is unethical.

  
  

  Authors are not permitted to publish an article that has already been published in a journal in other publications, unless the latter are electronic databases.

  
  

  Authorship is limited to those who have made a substantial contribution. Correspondence with the editorial board ensures co-authors’ endorsement and approval of the final version.

  
  

  Artificial intelligence (AI) cannot be listed as an author or co-author of an article. In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity” (No. 4742-IX of 18.12.2025), the dishonest use of AI results is a separate type of violation of academic integrity, on a par with plagiarism and data fabrication. Authors are obliged to:

  
  
  
  
  • disclose in the manuscript the use of any AI-based tools (in particular, for writing text, processing data, creating illustrations, etc.) with the indication of the specific tool and version;
  
  
  • clearly mark fragments of text or materials generated or significantly processed by AI, with a reference (indication) to the relevant program or methodology;
  
  
  • justify the purpose and scope of AI use in the methodology section of the study;
  
  
  • take full responsibility for the reliability (certainty), accuracy and quality of all materials prepared with the involvement of AI.
  
  
  
  

  At the end of the manuscript, following the conflict of interest statement, or as a separate document submitted alongside the manuscript, authors are required to provide a Declaration on the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems. Requirements for the content and form of the declaration, mandatory components, a checklist, and guidance on the responsible use of AI are set out in the Procedure for Declaring the Use of Artificial Intelligence Systems in Scientific Article Manuscripts. Where no AI tools were used, a declaration is still mandatory, with an explicit statement to that effect. Sample formulations for different AI use scenarios are provided in Appendix 4 of the Guidelines.

  
  

  In the event of an error being discovered in a published article, the author is obliged to notify the editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article.

  
  

  The editorial board may reject manuscripts that do not meet ethical standards, or if the author refuses to provide supporting documents. The author is responsible for the information provided.

  7. Technical requirements for the design of the article

  
  

  Margins: 2 cm. Paragraph indentation: 1.25 cm. Format: MS Word (docx). Text without hyphens.

  
  

  Figures: high resolution (600 DPI for graphics, 300 DPI for drawings), numbered sequentially, signed at top center, centered.

  
  

  Tables: signed at top, centered, numbered sequentially, cell contents can be oriented arbitrarily.

  
  

  Formulas: Microsoft Equation, Latin characters only, numbered.

  
  

  Volume: 20,000–40,000 characters (12–24 p.), exceptional theoretical/review articles up to 60,000 (36 p.), including tables, references, and spaces. References: ≥40 for reviews, ≥20 for empirical articles.
