PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR WOMEN WITH TRAUMATIC LIFE SCENARIOS: IMPLEMENTATION OF A CRISIS-ORIENTED EDUCATIONAL MODEL

The aim of this study is to analyze the practical implementation of a crisis-oriented educational model within the context of professional training for specialists providing psychological support to women with traumatic life experiences resulting from sexual violence. The focal point of the research is the program «School of Extreme and Crisis Psychology," which operated during 2024–2025 as a platform for enhancing the qualifications of professionals in crisis intervention.
The methodological strategy combined the principles of objectivity, systemicity, and contextuality, based on the learning experiences of the program’s participants. The theoretical foundation involved methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison, and generalization, which allowed for the identification of key components of the model. An empirical survey method was used to examine the professional background, needs, motivations, and preparedness of participants. The methodological paradigm incorporated an integrative approach, uniting cognitive-affective analysis, crisis intervention, ethical sensitivity, supervisory practices, and interactive learning.
The results of the study reveal a significant need for specialized training among professionals working with women affected by sexual violence, especially due to the lack of practical experience among younger specialists. The program’s audience represented a diverse range of professions-psychologists, social workers, and educators-who encounter crisis-related cases. Only one-third of participants reported prior experience working with survivors of sexual violence, and among them, only a few had long-term experiences. A substantial portion of the participants recognized the need to master tools for emotional stabilization, ethical interaction protocols, and techniques for identifying symptoms of PTSD, complex trauma, dissociation, and frozen grief.
In conclusion, the developed crisis-oriented educational model proved effective in preparing specialists capable of delivering qualified assistance to women in situations of trauma. It integrates theoretical depth, ethical sensitivity, and practical orientation, thereby fostering a professional environment ready to respond to the challenges of the current wartime and post-war period in Ukraine.
