The paper deals with the most widespread technological techniques of personal self-designing in adult age group. The interpretation of the empirical data obtained through the online survey was based on the normative model of discursive self-designing by N.V. Chepeleva - S. Yu. Rudnitskaya. The analysis revealed characteristic types of correlation of life and personal self-designs for different periods of adulthood (depending on age and socio-psychological conditions). The psychological peculiarities and the characteristic situational circumstances of each detected technique were determined depending on various factors. The features of self-designing were revealed that are characteristic of different age and socially determined plots of the process deployment. The additional blocks “formation of individual discourse of self-designing” and “analysis and awareness of one's own self-designing resource base”were introduced into the generalized theoretical model of discursive technologies of adult self-designing. It has been found out that the main technologies of adult self-designing are informational and semantic dialogues with the socio-cultural environment of the person, as well as provocative technologies by which the individual discourse of self-designing of the person is expanded, its resource base is expanded and new life and personal self-designs are connected. The expediency of purposeful development of a person's narrative competence for successful self-designing is substantiated.
