Abstract

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a modern, pragmatic, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approach. Numerous studies have proven the effectiveness of CBT in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders. CBT is used along with the pharmacological treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and other mental disorders.
The research focuses on the main characteristics of cognitive-behavioral therapy, such as therapeutic relationship, conceptualization, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention, which are essential for therapeutic performance.     
The ways of reflection development are outlined, the difficulties encountered by a CBT therapist are identified.  An evaluation form of the implementation of key components of CBT in practice is proposed, which includes a list of questions for sessions planning and the therapeutic plan development.
