The article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of marital relations and their influence on the child’s personality development, his notion about a male/female, their relations. Some marital problems, which can most negatively influence on a child, are disclosed. Particularly, such problems as shifting of responsibility for the family problems onto a child, desire to have a child as a purpose of self-realization; neurotic marital love; divergence of value orientations of a married couple, are described. Great attention is paid on the question of a married couple’s self-realization as a man and woman, and that parents are the first example of male and female behavior. If a child’s communication need with a father/mother of the same gender is not satisfied, the identification with the parent of opposite sex occurs. In connection with this the article observes fatherhood crisis. In a modern family we can frequently observe inconsistence between social status and emotional spirit of parents. In our society the most prevailing position is that a father is traditionally considered to be the head in the family, but in fact a mother is in charge of it, controlling economical and educational spheres of a family. We make a conclusion that only loving and happy parents can give for a child a filling of stability, immunity, confidence, and thereby to further new discoveries and creative development. The perspectives for further researches are defined, consisting in the methods choosing and experimental research conducting, and searching for the ways out of the destructive tendencies of a modern family.
