DYNAMIC OF CHANGES IN RESPECT OF THE OPERATIONAL COMPONENT IN THE STRUCTURE OF STUDENT-PSYCHOLOGISTS PROFESSIONAL THINKING
Abstract
This article is devoted to analysis of professional thinking of future students in psychology on the basis of the materials of theoretical and practical studies. The paper tends to determine that features of the professional thinking of psychologists are based not only on a physiologist's ability to imagine rightfully her/his own thinking process but estimate and interpret rightly the thinking process of a particular counselee.
It is further substantiated that another specific feature of thinking process relates to ability of a psychologist to single out and diagnosis the problem situation with a particular focus on making predictions as to perspectives and effects of the problem situation. Taking these into account, a psychologist has to coordinate all variety of thinking elements which are captured and interrelated in a three-component thinking structure, involving operational, cognitive, operational and purpose-motivated components.
The article also contains a brief description of the above components. Additionally, the author reflects the results of empirical studies relating to operational component in psychological thinking of future psychologists. Depending on the level of development of the operational component, it is proposed to define its low, medium and high levels. This article also concentrates on dynamic changes reflecting how the operational component of students has changed during the period of their studentship.
Finally, there are results of research of changes in operational component of a student over the course of its graduation undertaken in dynamic.
