OPTIMIZATION OF THE PROCESSES OF METAMEMORY AND METACOGNITION IN STUDENTS' LEARNING ACTIVITY
Abstract
The article deals with the concept of metamemory in the context of students' learning activity. The author emphasizes on the importance of metamemory processes' development and optimization, namely monitoring and control that are said to influence the efficiency of memory and relate to the quality of education at university. The peculiarities of the development of students' metacognition and metamemory are summarized; metacognitive actions, aimed to optimize metamemory processes are classified. Recommendations for the organization of educational interaction between a teacher and a student are given.
