PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS OF FEAR OF FLIGHTS
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the psychological fear of flying as anthropogenic fear of modernity. Using of the term aviophobia to refer this specific type of fear is substantiated. Causes of aviophobia are analyzed. The results of the survey of passengers who fear flights are presented. Opinions on the prevention of aviophobia and creation of the atmosphere of safety in the airports are expressed.
