Article deals with the analysis of the influence of various psychologists, representatives of humanistic direction in psychology (K. Jung, A. Adler, G. Allport, E. Fromm, V. Frankl, Sh. Buhler, A. Maslow and K. Rogers), on the content of the concept of psychological well-being by K.Riff.

It was revealed that various aspects of the theory of psychological well-being K. Riff reflect the ideas and concepts of all the aforementioned psychologists of humanistic orientation to some extent, but the views of the two founders of humanistic psychology: A. Maslow (characteristics of self-actualized personality) and K. Rogers (concept and features of a fully functioning personality) influenced on the structure of psychological well-being by K.Riff most of all, in their theories we can find all the components of psychological well-being.

It is stated that the model of psychological well-being by K. Riff is, in fact, the model of the personality on the path to self-actualization, whereas the meaning of life is the higher integrative basis of the personality for psychological growth, has not found its place in the K.Riff’s model.

After analyzing the measure of influence of the views, ideas and theories of humanistically oriented psychologists on the understanding of psychological well-be­ing and its components by K. Riff, we come to the natural and logical conclusion: the theory of psychological well-being by K.Riff in fact is another theory of self-actualization of personality, which combines the basic ideas of previous concepts of self-development.
