Investigation of the necessity of tolerance formation of young people is getting the particular importance during training students in high school, because in this period there is an intensive development of the individual, the formation of his intellectual, motivational, emotional and volitional spheres of a values system, professionalism and determination in the living space. Based on the analysis of relevant literature, in our article the different pedagogical ideas of tolerance is analyzed.

The article is devoted to the problem of youth tolerance as the main promising stratum of the future society. In the article the notion of tolerance, signs tolerant personality; considered humanistic approaches to formation and tolerance education; highlighted the concept of self-actualization as a choice; define sources of tolerance formation of the young generation; stressed the necessity of taking into account the historical experience and individual-psychological characteristics of a person on the way of forming of tolerance; noted the need stimulation to realistic vision of ourselves, the discrepancies between the real self and ideal self; the importance of working on semiprivate and emotional control; methods tolerant behaviour in interpersonal interaction; psychological conditions of purchase personality position of non-violence.
